Bocuse d’Or the very first team Georgia to perform and represent Georgian gastronomy at Bocuse d’Or European Selection.
After Stavanger, Geneva, Stockholm, Brussels, Budapest and Turin, the city of Talinn-Estonia will host the Bocuse d’Or Europe on May 28th and 29th, 2020.
In the heart of the Saku Arena, together with Profexpo Food Village exhibition, 20 countries will meet each other and compete for 2 days at the highest level in a very cheerful and passionate atmosphere.
Bocuse d’Or is the
world’s most prestigious gastronomic championship with a 30-year history of bringing together young, daring, talented and prominent chefs from the four continents.
In 2019, Georgia officially became a part of the Bocuse d’Or family. That means that for the first time, Georgia will compete at the Continental Competition of Bocuse d’Or in 2020. Participating in the contest not only opens up promising prospects for Georgia and raises the country’s overall cultural prestige, drawing attention to its national cuisine, the level of development of the field of gastronomy and tourism.
Team Georgia will be represented by the winner of the very first Bocuse d’Or Georgia-Chef Eriq Sarqisiani, Bocuse d’Or Georgia president Chef Levan Kobiashvili, the national Georgian team Coach- Chef Luka Nachkebia, and the young commiss to assist the Chef Eriq during the competition- Luka Khinkiladze.
The winner Chefs of the European contest in Tallinn will be representing their countries on the Bocuse d’Or final in Lyon 2021, during the world’s leading gastronomy expo Sirha.
