Dinamo Tbilisi vs. Feyenoord – Match behind closed doors
Today, on August 15, Tbilisi Dinamo Arena will host the second match between Dinamo Tbilisi and Feyenoord Rotterdam as part of the third qualification round of UEFA Europa League.
The first match was held under the complete dominance of the Dutch footballers and ended with their landslide victory over Georgians – 4:0. Thus, Dynamo has a few chances to move to the next stage.
The head coach of Dinamo Tbilisi Felix Vicente said at his pre-match press conference that his expectations with regard to August 15 match were realistic, however, he expressed hope that team would show a good play. According to him moving to the play-off stage is an unrealistic task.
Feyenoord Rotterdam head coach Jaap Stam showed respect for the opponent and said at a press conference that the team should play aggressively, fight to the end, as there is still a chance to change the fate of the two-match game.
According to the decision of UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body, “Dinamo Tbilisi” will play the match behind closed doors for the racist behaviour of its supporters. The incident took place during the match between Dinamo Tbilisi and Azerbaijan’s Gabala on August 1.
The match will be held at 20:30 at Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi. Sport event will be aired live on Georgian First Channel.
