NATO strongly supports democratic reforms being implemented in Georgia, – it was mentioned at a meeting held between the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia and NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller.
At the meeting, talks focused on all the important issues of the NATO-Georgia cooperation agenda, including the progress achieved in the implementation of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package and security challenges in the region.
The steps taken to strengthen democratic institutions and the judiciary were positively apprised.
The parties also discussed further steps to strengthen practical cooperation and partnerships in the Black Sea region.
The Prime Minister thanked the North Atlantic Alliance for its firm support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.
